Ken Hersh

NGP Energy Capital Management
Ken Hersh is CEO of NGP Energy Capital Management, the Irving, Texas-based manager of a series of private equity funds focusing on the natural resources sector. Prior to joining NGP in 1989, he was a member of Morgan Stanley’s Energy Group, specializing in oil and gas financing and M&A transactions.

Mr. Hersh serves as a director of NGP Capital Resources Co., Eagle Rock Energy Partners, and Resolute Energy Corp. as well as numerous private companies. He also serves on the advisory councils of The Graduate School of Business at Stanford University and The Bendheim Center for Finance at Princeton University.

Mr. Hersh holds a BA from Princeton University and an MBA from Stanford University, where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar.
